Bamboo does not rot in water and can take being wet repeatedly. It is said that the more bamboo is soaked in water, longer is its life !!

At The Bamboo Store, we are forever trying out new things as we believe bamboo is an amazing material with the potential to take any form or function. Bored of the same old same old glass and metal wall lights, we hit upon the idea of using handmade paper from Sikkim and bamboo to create some simple wall lights ...and to embellish them we had Madhubani artist Pradyumna Kumar do some exquisite black and white drawings. For table top accessories, we worked with artist Mantu Chitrakar and his family to create some amazing colourful tea-light holders. Enjoy...
